Bi-Polar or Bi-Winning?

I must say that I haven’t enjoyed a good celebrity trainwreck more than I have enjoyed Charlie Sheen over the past few days. The guy is what I call a pure “Sheenius,” as he has cleverly managed to direct the attention of the entire America to his rages and rants in order to expose us to his unique school of thought on life. Ok, so he may be slightly off his rocker with some of his outlandish claims like having “Adonis DNA and tiger blood running through his veins,” but you have to admit that the guy has got some gems to live by as well, such as “Can’t is the cancer of happen,” and “Faith is for winners, hope is for losers.” Some may say that I am on that “Charlie Sheen,” but frankly I am inspired by this winner and aspire that one day America will be tuned in to Frank Lee’s unique school of thought on life as well, and I will be able to also claim the title of “Unemployed Winner.”
Climbing the Corporate Ladder
02.23.11
One way of metaphorical thinking that I have never understood or have been fond of is “climbing the corporate ladder of success.” No one just enjoys climbing ladders, and it’s more like an obstacle course if you ask me. You start off at the bottom of the barrel, slaving your life away. The amount of slaving and the rate at which you advance forward usually do not correlate well with each other either. You can slave your days and nights away and never get to that next step of the ladder. Even when you do get to that next step, the grass is not as green as you had expected as it really means your neck is just on the chopping block for more things. We’re all just on this imaginary ladder trying to climb our way to the top, stepping on each others hands and fighting to get to the next step. Does anyone really know what’s holding the ladder at the top or is anyone going to stay down there to hold it on the bottom? Who’s to say the ladder doesn’t just come crashing down; it’s only meant for one person to climb at a time anyway. Frankly, all of this ladder talk is too abstract for me. I’m just going to stay here on the ground where I am safe and sound.
Gum Under the Table
02.23.11
Who does this- I mean really? What person with some common decency actually takes a piece of gum they have been chewing (for probably too long) and sticks that germ-infested ball of spit under a public table (especially at restaurants)? Are you really that lazy that you can’t get up and put it in the trashcan or wrap it in a napkin? Are we still in a jungle or in a civilized society? Maybe even yet a better option is for you to swallow it (the gum actually doesn’t stay in our system for 10 years like the myth once said). Too many times, I have accidently brushed up against a gum-plastered table or walked down a sidewalk to find gum stuck underneath my shoe. It’s wrong, disgusting, and absolutely ridiculous.
Don’t Judge Me

I really have to get something off my chest. Am I the only one who hates when people preface something they do or say with the phrase: “Don’t judge me?” As soon as I hear those words, my robe and gavel come flying out. I’m going to judge you. In fact, I am going to judge you even more harshly because I know that you realize that you deserve to be judged. If you thought you were behaving in a civilized manner, you wouldn’t ask me to not judge you. I really think it is rude of you to put me in a position where I have to judge you and then pressure me not to. I’m judging you for that too.
